About Us

Carly Annable-Coop

Carly is someone who not only turns to her bike for fitness and adventure but also uses it for daily commutes as well as a way to seek peace and quiet in the world.

Although prone to the occasional adventure run or triathlon, Carly’s heart lies with her bikes.

As well as this, Carly has finishing medals for 9 Joberg2Cs, 1 TransWales, 1 Cape Epic, and countless one-day road & mtb marathon events.

About Us

Ian Coop

Ian has always had a love for adventure and has found cycling the perfect way to explore the world. Although adventure is always at the heart of his explorations, it does come with a competitive instinct.

With a love for both endurance road and mountain biking riding, Ian has competed in a number of multi-day stage events around the world finishing 1 TransWales, 2 Cape Epic, 10 Joberg2C races, and has ridden the full route of the 1972 & 2017 Tour de France.

About Us

Chris Lewis

Chris’ cycling habit now includes two road bikes, two mountain bikes, a single speed, and a vintage bike from the 1950s. He once did an Ironman but decided running was just not his thing.

Chris has ridden two french Tours and four South African Joberg2Cs. Last summer he rode solo from London to Dijon to join his family on holiday in France; a 600km ride over two days. Chris is at his happiest on rolling flats.

Motto: Don’t get dropped!

About Us

Leslie Lewis

Leslie is Chris’ wife and long-standing cycling supporter. She is a runner and has completed marathons, triathlons, and 100km walks.

As well as this, Leslie is French and a fantastic chef. She will look after all the French-speaking arrangements for Grand Velo Tours.

Stage 18 has a coffee shop in her hometown of Nuits St Georges, in the middle of the Burgundy wine region, where you can taste local wines.
